He was predeceased by : his parents, Arthur Lutz and Lillian Rudinger Lutz; and his siblings, Carmen Genevieve Strunk, Arthur Wayne, Albert and Kenneth.

He is survived by : his wife Judith "Judie" Russell Lutz; his sons, Russell L. Dockery (Jessica) of Florida and Jacob A. Lutz (Melissa) of Quihi; his grandchildren, Megan Hartmann, Royce, Gatlynn Lutz, Morgan and Caspian Dockery; and his siblings, John Lutz (Sylvia), Patsy Myers (Steve) of D'Hanis and Shirlie Morales of D'Hanis. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins and other extended family.
