He was predeceased by: his parents, John B. Nester and Alice Carle Nester; his son-in-law Mark Sorenson; and his grandson Justin Nester. He is survived by: his wife Esther; his children, Mary Sorenson (late Mark), Joan Hudson (David), Joseph (Sherrill), Laura Denion (Tom), Charles, Linda Cote (Mike), Carol Rodgers (Jamie) and John (Fredericka); and his daughter-in-law Cathy Egan. He is also survived by grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Monday, March 17th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at the Holy Cross Catholic Church (310 FM 2200, D'Hanis, TX 78850). A rosary was held on Monday, March 17th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the same location. A Mass was held on Monday, March 17th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Holy Cross Cemetery Fund or the D'Hanis Volunteer Fire Department.
