She was predeceased by: her parents, Ernest Albert Bendele and Alice Pauline Haby Bendele; her husband Ferd; her son John Arthur; her siblings, Hilmer Bendele (Melrose) and Erna Lee Balzen; and her sister-in-law Laurinda Rothe McGee (Dennis).
She is survived by: her children, Laura Abbott (Don), Louis (Susie) and Jack Rothe (Michele); her grandchildren, Becky Goushey (Ramey), Josh Abbott (Sarah), Jenny Boehme (Bradford), Michael Rothe (Michaela), J'Lynn Smart (Micheal), Larysa Gonzales and Trey Gonzales; her great grandchildren, Hailey Abbott, Chas Boehme, Eadee Boehme, Sadie Boehme, Emmylou Rothe, Alyssa Abbott, Ashlynn Gomez and Ellyson Rothe; her brother Ernest Bendele (Fanita); and her brother-in-law Joe Balzen.
Visitation was held on Thursday, May 1st 2025 from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Friday, May 2nd 2025 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at the Holy Cross Catholic Church (310 FM 2200, D'Hanis, TX 78850). A rosary was held on Thursday, May 1st 2025 from 7:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the same location. A funeral Mass will be held on Friday, May 2nd 2025 at 10:00 AM at the same location. A burial will be held on Friday, May 2nd 2025 at the Holy Cross Cemetery.
The family suggests memorials may be made to the American Leukemia Society.
