He is survived by: his children, Marshall Weinkam, Gabriel Lopez of Jonathan, Ryan Weinkam and Ruby Cardenas of Devine; his former wife Margot Rendon; and his siblings, Marilyn Gentry (Gordon) of Devine and Ricky Kay (Luci) of Roanoke.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the First Baptist Church of Natalia.
