It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Shirley Leona Austermiller of Devine, Texas, born in Perrysburg, Ohio, who passed away on September 30, 2022, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Russell Alger Elkins and Evelyn Hill Elkins; her son Jeffrey Retcher; and her brother Merrill Lee Elkins. She is survived by: her children, Julyn Bird (Anthony James) of Devine and Jasen L. Austermiller (Vada) of Devine, TX; her foster daughter Gloria Triebenbach (Lee); and her sister-in-law Hermie Elkins. She is also survived by 9 grandchildren, 16 Great Grandchildren, other relatives, many foster children and numerous friends.
