It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Cynthia Ann Smith Hanna of Devine, Texas, who passed away on January 27, 2025, at the age of 83, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Otis T. Smith and Hazel Lorene Smith (Brown); her stepfather Alex Conrad; her sons, Vincent and Gene Morris; her sister Beverly Roberts; her brother-in-law Billy Wewe; and her sister Jimaree Parrish.
She is survived by: her husband Jon Hanna; her children, Tina Goodman (Shane), Kimberly Matthiessen (Jack) and Marcus Hanna (Sarah); her daughter-in-law Laurie Morris; her grandchildren, Brandon Dominguez, Bethany Smith (Jonathan), Melissa Wagoner, Matthew Morris, Kurtis Anderwald (Ashley), Kara Anderwald, Ryan Johnson, Sydney Pauley (Kevin), Miriam Ashley Hanna and Marcus Jon Hanna; her great grandchildren, Abbie, Chaz and Jason Dominguez; her grandchildren, Addison, Paxtynn, Lincoln Wagoner, Lily Ann Smith, Jon-Luke, Jace, Austin Anderwald, Dakota, Sunny and Pepper Pauley; her sister Madge Wewe; and her brother-in-law Gus Roberts. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, February 5th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Tondre-Guinn Funeral Home (1016 Lorenzo St, Castroville, TX 78009). A funeral service was held on Thursday, February 6th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Calvary Community Church (2097 Co Rd 4516, Castroville, TX 78009). A graveside service was held on Thursday, February 6th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Oak Rest Cemetery (14580 US-90, Castroville, TX 78009).
