It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Ruby Doris Edwards of Devers, Texas, born in Mize, Mississippi, who passed away on November 12, 2021, at the age of 82, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Huey Yates and Sarah Byum Yates; her daughter Wanda Votaw; and her siblings, Katherine Biglane, Mary Lois Yates, Ervin, Lee, Lonnie and Harold Yates.
She is survived by: her brothers, Frankie Yates (Joan) and Johnny Yates; her sisters-in-law, Magdalene Yates and Brenda Yates; and her sons, Charlie "Cowboy" Edwards (Carla), Kenny Edwards (Connie) and Rick Edwards (Kendra). She is also survived by 9 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren and countless other family members and friends.
