He is survived by: his wife Tammy Helmer of Devers, Texas; his children, Frank Helmer (Connie) of Montgomery, Gary Don Helmer (Selene) of Magnolia, Texas and Kimberly Helmer of Conroe, Texas; his sister Theresa Shimek (Ronnie) of Batson, Texas; his grandchildren, Jessi Davis (Alan), Andrew Helmer, Blake Helmer (Alyssa), Dylan Helmer and Lacey Helmer; and his great grandchildren, Lilla Davis, Merrissa Helmer and Willow Helmer.
