It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Tim Somerville of Detroit, Texas, born in Clarksville, Texas, who passed away on September 22, 2023, at the age of 70, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his father John W. Somerville; and his nephew Jeff Abernathy. He is survived by: his mother Connie Anderson Somerville of Clarksville; his wife Marcelle Somerville of Detroit; his daughters, Robbie Lynne Todd (Jeremy) of Bogata, Lisa Somerville of Detroit and Dori Logsdon (Casey) of Bagwell; his sister Pam Pellett of Bagwell; and his grandsons, Jason Todd, Jacob Todd, Isaac Ibarra, Will Logsdon and Patrick Logsdon. He is also survived by Numerous nephews, nieces, cousins and friends.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Catonville Cemetery Association, C/O Marcelle Somerville, 6236 U.S. Hwy. 82 W. Detroit, Texas 75436.

“Tammie and I send our most sincere condolences to Marcelle and all of the family in this time of much sadness. Tim was a very dear friend as well as a musician buddy that liked coffee shops as much as I do. I played music with him 'live on stage' on 'many' occasions as well as in the 'Jam Room'. We played at many benefits and fundraisers in the '12th Street Jam Band' and there was never a dull moment when Tim was in the room. He was a super guy and will be missed forever. *Godspeed brother ♥”
