He was predeceased by: his parents, Prentice Lee and Ruby Bean Byers. He is survived by: his children, Ronald Wilson (Allison) and Deborah Byers; his grandchildren, Courtney Peugh and Happy Moore (Michael); his great grandchildren, Sophie Moore and Gaitlin Peugh; his sister-in-law Nanette Byers; his wife Phyllis; his brother-in-law Jack Davenport; his brother Gary Byers; his nephew Greg Davenport; and his grandson Kristopher Dale Byers. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, and cousins.

In lieu of flowers Ron's wish was to have donations made to the Gideons International or Jan Kay Ranch Christian Camp in Detroit, Tx.
