He was predeceased by: his siblings, Theron Holyfield (Jackie), Leon Holyfield, Louise Holyfield, Lillie Mae and Varrie.
He is survived by: his former wife Erma Joe; his daughters, Debra High and Catherine Holyfield; his former wife Earlene Holyfield; his son John Holyfield Jr. (Rhonda); his wife Rose Holyfield; his children, Shannon Thomas-Muse and Ron Holyfield of Dallas, TX; his grandchildren, Debra High (Cleophus) of Mexia, TX, Shannon Thomas-Muse Dale (Marquis), Terry and Timber Carter of Dallas, TX.; and his sister Avalyn Smith of Louisiana. He is also survived by grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Visitation was held on Friday, November 22nd 2024 from 1:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Black and Clark Funeral Home (2517 E Illinois Ave, Dallas, TX 75216).
