She is survived by: her significant other LCpl Lamarius Adkinson; her parents, Lawrence Laws and Sharon Laws; her siblings, Aumiel, Kish, Daniel and Tanis; her grandmothers, Ella Buford and Rosie Laws; her godmother Shermeen Henderson; her uncles, SSgt Richard Buford (Carla), Horace Buford (Eleanor) and Cormac Henderson; her aunt Debra Green; her cousins, Brandon Green (Krystal), Jeremiah of Zenada, CJ and Brandi; and her close friends, Medinat, MiAngel and Tori. She is also survived by aunts, uncles, family and friends.

“I did not know Areauna well, but we were in the same school but not the same class. We weren't close but shared one or two hellos and hi and always smiled at each other. I remember the first time I saw her, it was during our new student orientation, I sat next to her and I remember that what made me approach her that day was that she smiled at me and it was just for a few seconds but from that smile I knew she was friendly. And so, I send my prayers and hope she finds peace wherever she may be.”
