We are sad to announce that on November 22, 2024, at the age of 89, Dorothy Faye Melton of Deport, Texas passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Wallace Farris and Luttie Smith Farris; her former husband John Thomas; her husband Raymond Melton; her son Monty Thomas; her son-in-law Rickey McMikel; and her siblings, Travis Farris, James Farris and Thelma Smith.

She is survived by: her daughters, Sheryl Watson (Patrick) and Debra McMikel; her grandchildren, Shannon McMikel (April), Mandy George, Misty Webb (Michael), Jennifer Aker (Drew), Jason Thomas (Cayla), Grant Watson, Ashley Bush (Lance), Clifton Watson, Carlie Huie (Laramie) and Jordan Watson; and her sisters, Wilma Claypool and Dola Roach. She is also survived by great grandchildren.
