She was predeceased by: her parents, Naomi Caffey (Baker) and Rupert Caffey; her husband George; her son Ron Hillis; and her brothers, Melvin, Leonard and Mitchell Caffey.
She is survived by: her children, Don Hillis (Carolyn) of Granbury, George Childress, Jr. (Una) of Levelland, Ken Hillis of Hobbs, Paula Reeves (Rick) of Denver City, Pam Evans (Richard) of Lubbock and Cheryl Clark (Gordon) of Dumas, Texas; and her siblings, Leland Caffey (Paula) of Lubbock, Texas and Barbara Roberts of Lubbock, Texas. She is also survived by 11 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.
