Sandra Mignon Laughlin Obituary
Sandra Mignon Laughlin, born on August 25, 1946, in Greenville, Texas, peacefully passed away on April 21, 2024, in Denton, TX, at the age of 78. She was a beloved mother, sister, grandmother, aunt, and friend.
Mignon Laughlin may have been small in stature, but she was big in personality. And if you knew her well, or even if you didn't, she wasn't shy about expressing her opinions.
She grew up in Greenville, Texas and frequented her family's farm in East Texas as often as possible. Mignon chose to stay at home and run the household while her children were in school. She was a woman of many talents and for many years she enjoyed breeding Bichon Frise's, crafting ceramics, floral design, and raising goats and chickens. Although she spent much of her adult life in Richardson, Texas she was most at home on a piece of property tending to her goats and chickens. Most recently you would find Mignon on her patio enjoying the outdoors and tending to her chickens.
She grew up in church and had a relationship with God, so her family is grateful that she is no longer suffering and is reunited with her family, friends, and furry animals that preceded her in death.
Mignon's family meant the world to her. She is survived by her sons Glenn Laughlin and Greg Laughlin, along with their families. She cherished her grandchildren Dakota, Sierra, and Savanna. Mignon also held a special place in her heart for her brother Sam Acker and his children Sarah Snyder and Ryan Acker.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Sam Acker and Evelyn Acker.
A private ceremony honoring Mignon Laughlin's life will be held in the fall in Dialville, Texas.
Mignon Laughlin will be deeply missed by all who knew her, but her memory will live on in the hearts of those she loved.
