She was predeceased by: her parents, Robert Tidwell (Bob) and Martha Berry Tidwell; her husband Ward Walling; her siblings, Ona Faye Tidwell, Pauline Schluter, Jenna Mae Beene and Homer Tidwell; her son Ronnie Walling; her grandson Clint Fulton; and her daughter-in-law Kathleen Walling.
She is survived by: her children, Jim Walling (Pam Sweetin) of Pilot Point, Dixie Fulton of Denton and Vicki Smith (Clay) of Bedford; her granddaughters, Cheryl Walling, Christa Hamill (Chad), Caren Sanders (Doug) and Amanda Robertson (Heath); her great grandchildren, Michael Napier, Tyler Napier, Hunter Napier, Nicholas Curtis, Cole Hamill, Cash Hamill, Bailey Bufkin and Grace McCann; her stepgrandchildren, Todd LoSasso and Angela Telck; and her stepgreat-granddaughters, Kaylee Green and Taylor Robertson.
A celebration of life was held on Saturday, November 16th 2024 at 10:30 AM at the Mulkey-Bowles-Montgomery Funeral Home (705 N Locust St, Denton, TX 76201).
In lieu of flowers, Ruth requested donations to Justin (Texas) Cemetery Association or to a local food bank.
