He was predeceased by : his parents, Ed Walker and Lillie Mae Walker; and his wife Wanda Gayle Walker. He is survived by : his children, Chris Walker, Holli Walker and Edie Chavira (Frank); his grandchildren, Ross Jones, Ian Walker, Tess Walker, Aine Walker, Jude Walker, Joshua Chavira and Caroline "Cici" Chavira; and his friend Linda Hymes.

Visitation was held on Tuesday, July 2nd 2024 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Mulkey-Bowles-Montgomery Funeral Home (705 N Locust St, Denton, TX 76201). A graveside service was held on Wednesday, July 3rd 2024 at 2:00 PM at the Oak Grove Cemetery (128 Jenny Ln, Aubrey, TX 76227).
