With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Janice Harrington of Denton, Texas, who passed away on January 15, 2025 at the age of 91. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
Though her name may fade from the lips of time, the imprint Janice leaves upon the hearts of her loved ones remains eternally vivid — a testament to the depth of her spirit and the richness of her legacy.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Claude Smith and Mozelle Smith; and her husband Thomas Valentine Harrington. She is survived by: her children, Connie L. Griffin, Patricia "Pat" Stevens (Marshall), Thomas "Tom" Harrington (Danna) and Shawn Prichard (Darrell); and her siblings, Joyce Day (Joe), Charles Smith (Darla) and Robert Smith. She is also survived by eight grandchildren, fourteen great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, January 21st 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Colonial Funeral Home Chapel (606 W Airport Fwy, Irving, TX 75062). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, January 22nd 2025 at 12:30 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Wednesday, January 22nd 2025 at 2:30 PM at the Dallas Fort Worth National Cemetery (2000 Mountain Creek Pkwy, Dallas, TX 75211-6702).
