We are sad to announce that on February 21, 2025, at the age of 95, George Richard Clerihew of Denton, Texas passed away. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Arthur Clerihew and Claudia Alford Clerihew; his former wife Vera Lois Clerihew; his brother Walter "Corky"; his son-in-law Hal Ostrander; and his wife Gail Curry Clerihew.
He is survived by: his children, Carla Ostrander, Claudia Clerihew and George Clerihew II (Toni); his grandchildren, Alison Santos (Denis), Mark Ostrander (Melissa), Sara Schwartz (Nick), Andrea Ostrander, Brian Burke (Jackie Kelley), Breann Burke, Jacob Clerihew and Alex Clerihew; and his great grandchildren, Jackson, Aiden, Max Ostrander, Chloe, William McNeely and Walker William Burke.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, February 26th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 7:30 PM at the Coker Funeral Home (403 Pecan St, Sanger, TX 76266). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, February 27th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the First Baptist Church (708 S 5th St, Sanger, TX 76266). A burial will be held on Thursday, February 27th 2025 at the Sanger Cemetery (525 McReynolds Rd, Sanger, TX 76266).
