He was predeceased by: his parents, Dr Fred A. Coffey Sr. and Sarah Verna Coffey (Cox). He is survived by: his children, Frederic Aurelius Coffey III (Kathy), Jeffrey Philip Coffey (Susanne), Teresa Carol Coffey (Michael Doughten) and William Patrick Coffey (Patricia); and his grandchildren, Tate Besougloff, Logan Besougloff, Cooper Besougloff, Taz Coffey, Kavi Allard, Moschell Coffey and Hamilton Coffey.
