He was predeceased by: his parents, Clark Heathcoat and Mabel Heathcoat; and his wife Carol Ann Heathcoat. He is survived by: his children, Kelly Engel (Curtis) of Needville, Texas, David Heathcoat (Marjorie) of Justin, Texas and Kristy Kappler (Bill) of Flower Mound; his grandchildren, J. D. Heathcoat (Kaitlin), Kelsey Jarjour (Daniel), Megan Catanzaro (Alex), Wilson Engel, William Kappler III, Connor Heathcoat (Natalie), Ethan Kappler and Samuel Kappler; and his great grandchildren, Luca Catanzaro, Cameron Catanzaro and Brooks Heathcoat (Ellen Cheshire).

A celebration of life was held on Monday, November 4th 2024 at 1:00 PM at the Rockpointe Church (4503 Cross Timbers Rd, Flower Mound, TX 75028).
