He was predeceased by: his parents, William Ira Trantham, Jr. and Kathryn Wallace Trantham; his wife Jill Trantham; and his son William Barclay Trantham. He is survived by: his daughter-in-law Stacy Trantham; his granddaughter Emmaline Trantham; and his sister Nancy McCullough. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
