She was predeceased by: her parents, John Phillips and Stevie Phillips; her siblings, Steven Phillips, Roy McCoy, Dorothy Mason, Louise Kaleva and Lorena Phillips; and her son-in-law Zeke Alvarez.

She is survived by: her husband Dennis Locklear; her children, Jeanett (Kurt Jenson), Lorena (Michael Meyers), Kaye (Thomas Corson), Shellie (James Ryals), Stevie Alvarez (David Landry) and Jack; and her brothers, David Phillips and Jesse McCoy. She is also survived by numerous grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
