She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Farell H. McGuire (Jim) and Juanita F. Vaughan; her husband Dennis E. Nelson of Garland; her son Jeff Nelson (Shelley) of Mineola; her granddaughter Crystal Nelson of Josephine; her sister Linda Engleman (Gary) of Garland; her nephew Toby Lewis (Renae) of Alba; her daughter Kimberly Hammonds; and her grandson Travis Houston. She was also cherished by two great nephews, numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
In Lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Heart Association, American Cancer Society and American Diabetes Association.
