Thomas Wayne Porter Obituary

We are sad to announce that on November 12, 2020 we had to say goodbye to Thomas Wayne Porter of Denison, Texas, born in Texarkana, Texas. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

He was predeceased by: his brother Kenneth; and his cousin Molly Porter Burke of San Antonio. He is survived by: his aunt Mary Lou; his uncle William C. Porter; his niece Tracy Marie Porter Eggleston; his great-nieces, Grace, Hannah and Emma of Carthage; his nephew Kevin Patrick Porter; his friend Mary Christian of Dallas; and his cousins, Jerry Porter Washam (Mary), Rusty Porter Washam of Dallas, Jennifer Porter Delmer (Jonathan) of San Antonio, Van of Berge and Bruce.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to The Texoma Health Foundation Porter Fund, Denison, The Geary Foster Foundation, Collinsville, The Denison Rotary Club or to a charity of your choice.

“In loving memory of Thomas Wayne Porter, I had the pleasure of meeting and lunching with Tom several times. I am the Founder of Geary Foster Foundations and grew up in foster care. Thru our conversations, Tom shared his story of adoption from foster care at the age of 7. He had a heart for these children and was such a sweet man who was so encouraging of our efforts to try to make a difference in Texas foster care. I will miss our lunch visits. May God Welcome another angel in Heaven”
