He was predeceased by: his parents, Cecile Ames and Benjamin Arthur Ames; and his siblings, Joan Rumrill and Ronald Ames. He is survived by: his wife Margaret Ames; his children, Sheila Jones, Lisa Mullican and Benjamin Ames; and his siblings, Shirley Demers (Loretta Baker) and Lenny Ames. He is also survived by 12 grand-children, 16 great grand kids, as well as his many friends.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made to American Cancer Society in Richard's name, to help others in the fight against this disease.
