“Kathryn: I was so sorry to hear that your father, Vernon Mathis, passed away on February 1st. Vernon was one of my favorite cousins. I grew up in Denison, Texas, and when I was in high school, I started a Nursery. Vernon helped my little business get a start. I had some narrow metal watering trays to put the plants in, and Vernon sold them in his variety store there in downtown Denison. My wife and I moved to Tyler. We visited Vernon & Mozelle at "cousin's parties." David Couch”
