She was predeceased by: her parents, Henry Evans and Marie Evans; and her brothers, Ricky and Willis Evans. She is survived by: her son Brett; her daughter-in-law Vanya Griffith Mayes; her granddaughters, Zoey and Willow Mayes; and her niece Misty Carter.
She loved to donate time and effort to charitable causes and was very active in community associations and groups, including the Garden Club, the Service League, the Bargain Box, PTA, Weekly Supper Clubs, Camp Sandy Point, 4H, and many other local organizations.
