He was predeceased by: his parents, Opal Thompson (Landmon) and Raymond Thompson; his wife Ruby Thompson (Harris); his grandson Casey Jones; his close friend Barbara Murphy; his brother Jimmy Thompson; and his great-nephew Parker Thompson.
He is survived by: his daughter Kathy Jones; his granddaughter Kelsey Jones (Dustin Strickland); and his sister Mary Fay Spradlin. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
