“Karen was a long time member of a bulletin board group of University of Texas alumni and football fans. She was passionate about the Longhorns, and she showed keen insight into the many ups and occasional downs in the football program. My wife and I had the pleasure of meeting Karen years ago when we were staying at the Eisenhower State Park over a 4th of July weekend. We joined her in downtown Denison to watch fireworks sitting in folding chairs in a parking lot. She will be missed.”
