He was predeceased by: his father Carl Maddux. He is survived by: his wife Mary Maddux of Denison; his children, Ryan Maddux of San Francisco, Karl Maddux (Andrea Garner) of Grants Pass, Oregon, Trinity Maddux of Sherman and Margaret Maddux (Maggie) of Pottsboro; his close friend Robin Haas of Laramie, Wyoming; and his siblings, James Maddux, Cindy Reardon and Charlene Murdock. He is also survived by eight grandchildren.
John was a supporter of the National Elk Foundation, Ducks Unlimited, and The Turkey Federation just to name a few.
