He was predeceased by: his father Arthur Lee Nicholas; his brother-in-law Dennis Bachman of Denison, Texas; his parent Graccie Mae Nicholas; and his parents-in-law, Clifford and Melvadois Bachman.
He is survived by: his wife Wanda Bachman Nicholas of Denison, Texas; his daughters, Michelle Covert of Pottau, Oklahoma, Chimene Nicholas of Bells, Texas and Dana Wilbanks (Timothy) of Fort Worth, Texas.; his grandchildren, Wanda Elena Lessard (Joey) of Greenbriar, Arkansas, Miranda Dodson of Dallas, Texas, Vivian Wilbanks of Kentucky, Olivia Burns (Ryan Stroker) of Sacramento, California, Geraden Wilbanks (Hailey) of Forney, Texas, Hannah Burns (Doug Grogan) of Sherman, Texas, Caitlin Dodson of Fort Worth, Texas, Abigail Burns (Zack Gordon) of Austin, Texas and Twig Wilbanks of Fort Worth, Texas; his great grandchild Elijah Dodson of Dallas, Texas; and his grandchildren, Finnley Wilbanks of Forney, Texas, Ryker Lessard of Greenbriar, Arkansas and Kyran Lessard of Greenbriar, Arkansas. He is also survived by two brothers, four sisters, and numerous nieces and nephews.
