She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Prentiss Virgil Compton and Dorothy Compton (Tate); her children, Nancy Lynn Meadors (Bill) of Winter Springs, FL, Lisa Ann Ciabattoni (Tony) of Dickenson, TX. and Jeffrey Bernard Spath (Justine) of College Station, TX.; her sisters, Sarah Brightman and Cynthia Holloway; and her sister-in-law Beverly Ann Hood of Austin, TX.. She was also cherished by six grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
