She was predeceased by: her parents, Harry Edward Underwood and Foy Underwood (Flurry); her spouse Johnie Cowart; her son Johnny "Dean" Cowart; and her sisters, Ima "Sue" Hazard and Lawanna Nelson.
She is survived by: her daughters, Cheryl "Lynn" Sakowski and Sheila Preece; her siblings-in-law, Billy Cowart and Barbara McCaughey; and her daughter-in-law Elaine Cowart. She is also survived by 15 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
