She was predeceased by: her parents, Mattie Lee Ballard and Edward Ballard; her siblings, Betty Hunt, Aggie Ross, Will Ballard, Melroy Ballard and Patrick Ballard; and her high school sweetheart Ruben Gains.
She is survived by: her daughters, LaTanya Martin, Tiffani Harkless and Sherry Houston; and her siblings, James, Josephine Garrett (Brenda L. Ballard), Alice Warren, Lillie Horton and Pearlie M. Shaw (Annie Willis). She is also survived by nieces, nephews, grands, great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Friday, November 22nd 2024 from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Waldo Funeral Home (619 N Travis St, Sherman, TX 75090). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, November 23rd 2024 at 11:00 AM at the Trinity Lighthouse Church (2915 Spur 503, Denison, TX 75020). A burial will be held on Tuesday, November 26th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the DFW National Cemetery (2000 Mountain Creek Pkwy, Dallas, TX 75211).
