She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Robert McGowen and Willie Mae Strickland; her spouse Jerry Howard Brooks; her daughter Robbie McCranie (Marcus) of Lewisville, TX; her grandchildren, Melissa Batchelor of Celina, TX and Michael Darring of Irving, TX; and her siblings, Lynda Meyers of Opelika, Alabama and B. B. McGowan of Dallas, TX.. She was also cherished by 7 great grandchildren.
