We are sad to announce that on November 13, 2023 we had to say goodbye to Barbara Paulita McGahey in Denison, Texas, born in Olney, Texas. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Paul Pratt and Velma Pratt (Mixon); her husband Jack; and her brother Harold Davis. She is survived by: her children, Lisa Tomlinson (David) of Cartwright and John McGahey (Camille) of Florida; and her grandchildren, Rebecca Whitehurst (Dean) of Durant, Caleb Tomlinson (Lauren) of Alvarado, Allison Kennell (Alex) of Florida and Jennifer McGahey of Florida.
Her commitment to service extended beyond her professional life, as she was an active member of various organizations, including the AARP, DAV Auxiliary, American Legion Auxiliary, Durant Literacy Council, Gold Star Wives, and the Retired & Senior Volunteer Program (RSVP).
Her family suggests that in lieu of flowers, donations be sent to Calera United Methodist Church, P.O. Box 288, Calera, Oklahoma 74730, or to your favorite charity.
