She was predeceased by: her husband Antonio F. Cruz; her children, Antonio Cruz Jr. and Rosa Maria Cruz; her parents, Francisca Gomez and Fernando Gomez; and her siblings, Candido Gomez, Tomas Gomez, Gregoria Cruz and Alfonso Gomez.
She is survived by: her children, Santiago Jimmy Cruz (Lydia Cruz) of Alvin, TX, Juanita Poppaw (Victor Poppaw) of Brackettville, TX and Armando G. Cruz (late Dottie Cruz) of Brackettville; her grandchildren, Carlos Cruz (Erika Cruz), Fernando Cruz (Sarah Cruz) and Amanda V. Ford (Mike Ford); and her great grandchildren, Ava Ford and Michaela "Kay" Ford. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends.
Visitation was held on Thursday, May 1st 2025 from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM and on Friday, May 2nd 2025 from 8:00 AM to 9:00 AM at the Trinity Mortuary (206 Kings Way, Del Rio, TX 78840). A rosary was held on Thursday, May 1st 2025 from 7:00 PM to 7:45 PM at the same location. A procession was held on Friday, May 2nd 2025 from 9:30 AM to 10:00 AM at the same location. A Mass was held on Friday, May 2nd 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the St. Mary Magdalene's Church (301 S Ann St, Brackettville, TX 78832).
