He was predeceased by: his mother Ruby; his brother Alton Ray Harrison; and his nephew Larry Harrison. He is survived by: his close friend Lil James "Hootie" (Ginger Harrison); his son Robert (Sandra Spriggs); his brother Charles Harrison; and his children, Vickie (Jim Fritcher), Carolyn (Coby Caveness) and William Cody Harrison. He is also survived by numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.
