He was predeceased by: his parents, Denie Norwood and George Norwood; and his siblings, Charley Norwood, Nathaniel Norwood, Carolyn Norwood, Willie Norwood and Betty Jean Norwood.
He is survived by: his wife Alicia I. Norwood of Del Rio; his children, Zoleka Buard of Houston, TX, Randall Norwood of Alabama, Anjanette Norwood (Miguel Vega) of Del Rio and Eliana Fox (Jake Fox) of San Antonio, TX; his sister Peggy Wethersbee (late Harold Wethersbee); and his grandchildren, Evie Norwood Vega, Aurelie Norwood Vega and Gianna Fox. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be held on Friday, December 27th 2024 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Trinity Mortuary (206 Kings Way, Del Rio, TX 78840). A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, December 28th 2024 at 10:00 AM at the Esperanza First Del Rio (301 Ave G, Del Rio, TX 78840). A burial will be held on Saturday, December 28th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the Westlawn Cemetery (301 Ave G, Del Rio, TX 78840).
In lieu of floral arrangements the Norwood family asks that donations be made to: the Boys and Girls Club of Del Rio, the Missions Fund of City Church Del Rio, or the Val Verde Border Humanitarian Coalition.
