He is survived by: his wife Maria A. Valdez; his sons, Ruben G. Valdez Jr. (Rosa), Tomas Valdez (Maria) and Everett Valdez (Mary Karen); his daughter-in-law Laura Valdez of Pennsylvania; his daughter Claudia; and his son-in-law Frank Cardenas III of San Antonio, TX. He is also survived by nephews and nieces; and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren.
