He was predeceased by: his parents, Victoriano Gutierrez and Augustina Gutierrez (Alcala); and his brother Fidel A. Gutierrez. He is survived by: his wife Maria Ester Gutierrez of Del Rio, Texas; his children, Juan Gutierrez of Del Rio, Roland Gutierrez (Misty) of Haslet, TX and Emily Fisher (Rob); his brothers, Carlos A. Gutierrez of Sweetwater and Hector A. Gutierrez (Antonia) of Lemoore, Calif.; and his grandchildren, Madeline Gutierrez and Austin Gutierrez.
