He was predeceased by: his parents, Santiago Hernandez and Cruz Hernandez. He is survived by: his wife Hortencia Hernandez; his children, Thelma Hernandez, Mario Hernandez Jr. (Tricia) and Gustavo Hernandez; his grandchildren, Deyanira, John David, Alletse, Mario Enrique, Marcos, Dariana and Damaris; his great grandchild Tyler Garcia; and his siblings, Odelinda Hernandez and Jesus Hernandez.
