She is survived by: her sister Isabel Hernandez; her close friend Gumercindo; and her children, Jose Antonio Ovalle, Blas Arturo Melendez, Veronica Sofia Acosta and Gume Melendez. She is also survived by 16 grandchildren and 20 great grandchildren.
