She was predeceased by: her husband Billy M. Merrell. She is survived by: her children, Mary Callender (Jeff) of Lancaster, Helen Bastian (John), James A. Suarez (Leticia) of Del Rio, Raymond J. Suarez (Ruth) of San Diego and Robert Merrell (Donna) of San Diego, California; and her brother Ruben Gonzales. She is also survived by numerous grandchildren; many great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews.
