He is survived by: his wife Esperanza G. Hames; his children, Jessica A. Valdez (Jose A. Valdez) and Jerry T. Hames, II (Amanda Hames); his grandsons, Alexander Valdez (Taylor De Leon), Jose Valdez (Bella Valdez) and Jacob Valdez; and his great grandchildren, Lilliana Valdez and Mia Valdez.
