He was predeceased by: his parents, Carl Rathke and Leota Rathke; and his brother Perry Rathke. He is survived by: his wife Catarina; his children, Roxanne (Russell), Stephany (Herb) and Rodney; his grandchildren, Nashay, Cody, Lauren, Taylor, Justin and Meagan; his sister Jane; his nieces, Susan (Bill) and JoAnn; and his nephew Warren. He is also survived by several great-grand children.
In lieu of giving flowers, donations can be made to the local AARC (Animal Advocacy Rescue Coalition) of Del Rio, in remembrance and spirit of Dr. Rathke's Love for all animals big and small.
