She was predeceased by: her husband John Robert Carter; her children, Rosia Mary McVea, Patsy Ann Carter, James Rogers Carter and Kelly Ray Carter; her mother Rosa DuPree; and her siblings, Rosia Jane Blunt and Louisa Jenkins.
She is survived by: her children, Aaron Carter, Dell Carter, Edward Carter, Ann Slider and Carolyn Whitworth. She is also survived by fifteen grandchildren; and a number of great grandchildren, nieces and, nephews.
