With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Maudie Darr of Deer Park, Texas, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on January 10, 2025 at the age of 90. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Maudie Darr to pay them a last tribute.
She was predeceased by: her mothers, Alma Carl and Ruby Irene Cox; her sons, Robert Phillips and Paul Phillips; her siblings, Betty Green, Carnell Putnam, Jerry Loundermilk and Kenneth Cox; and her grandson Clinton Gertson.
She is survived by: her husband Dan Darr; her daughters, Susan Gertson and Cynthia Maier; her stepchildren, Brian Batcheller (Cheri), Richard Darr (JoAnn), Dede Jones (Dick) and Sandy Brown (Ken); her grandchildren, Molly Smith, Brooke Oliver (Coy), Michael Sodaro, Sara Sodaro, Christine Hagan (Chad), Matthew Gertson (JoLynn), Cori St. Pierre, Jennifer White (Justin), Richard Darr Jr., Jamie Hall, Stefani Crosby, Anna Ross, Aaron Jones, Ian Jones, Christopher Darr, Nicholas Darr, Kenny Brown, Collin Brown and Colton Brown; and her siblings, Linda Childers, Sandra Anderson (Jack), Sharon Fischer (Elmar) and Carl Cox (Karen). She is also survived by sixteen great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Friday, January 17th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Rosewood Funeral Home (3939 Pasadena Blvd, Pasadena, TX 77503). A memorial service will be held on Saturday, January 18th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the Alzheimer's Association, alz.org.
