He was predeceased by: his parents, John J. Quast, Jr. and Erna West; his wife Marguerite Chandler; and his siblings, Ernalea Peters (Joe), Ray Quast (Eileen) and Kay Morgan.
He is survived by: his daughters, Patsy Batten (Danny), Peggy Bennett (Joe), Penny McBride (Albert) and Paige Dunlap (Scott); and his brother-in-law Jim Morgan. He is also survived by His 9 grandchildren and their spouses have produced 20 great-grandchildren and 13 great great-grandchildren, many nieces and nephews and many friends.
In lieu of flowers, John requested donations be made to the First United Methodist Church.
